How can I post a job?

There are 3 ways to conveniently place your ad which will be available in print and online:
• Online: Post online by creating a job listing online here. We will contact you within 24 business hours at the phone number you listed to ensure that you are maximizing your reach and value
• Phone: Call 1-888-899-8992, ext. 2, 410-684-2600 ext.2 or 301-621-1616 ext.2 to place your ad through a Pennysaver representative.

What does it cost to post an ad?
Our rates start at less than $50 to post an ad; we will work with you to provide maximum access to the best candidates at the best rate.
How fast will my ad be posted and printed?
If we confirm your submission by phone call or if you call us before 3 PM, your ad will be posted online no later than the following business morning and will be in the next available printed Pennysaver.

How do I post my resume?

Required Information
• Create an interesting title for your resume that will get employer’s attention – for example, “Experienced Sales Manager”
• Choose up to 5 Categories- Employers search for resumes by categories so make sure that your experience and/or education aligns with the employment categories
• Choose the type of job you are looking for- whether you are interested in working full- or part-time or as a contract or contract to hire employee allows an employer to search for the type of candidate that meets both of your needs
• To choose more than one category (or line) for job type or category, hold down the Ctrl button as you click on your mouse and it will highlight multiple lines
• Save your resume in Text format or some people prefer to save in their Notepad. Features like bolding, italics, bullets, and some spacing will not be visible when you save a Word document in this format. Cut and paste the document into the space provided. Note that if you wish to upgrade your resume and know HTML, you can insert HTML code into the saved resume so that it prints as you prefer.
• If you wish to keep your identity confidential, in lieu of your name, list “Confidential” but ensure that there is contact info such as a general email box where an employer can contact you- employers understand and respect confidentiality for posted resumes.

Optional Information
Salary requirements and a cover letter are both optional- recommended to include as more information is better for a prospective employer however not required for resume listing or responding to a job ad unless specifically posted by the employer.

How do I search for jobs?
• Automatic emails to save you time: You can register on our site and get automatic job agents sent to your email account based on the type of job you are looking for
• Search online anytime: You can search by the job location, the job category, or by keywords to find jobs that meet your needs. Jobs are updated daily so come back often.

What if my search does not have any results?
• The less specific the better—searching under “Sales Manager”may not result in a listing but there may be plenty of listings that you might find interesting and qualified for that are suited for your background. Searching under “Sales” may result in Sales Directors, Sales Managers, Sales Account Managers, Sales Asst. Managers. Try a new search with less words or related words or try a county which is close to where you are looking for a job.

Why is the company name shown as Confidential?
In certain instances we will allow a company to post confidential job listings. This is usually the case when the position that the company is hiring for is still occupied.

Who can see my resume?
Only employers who have are registered or prospective advertisers and have an account with Pennysaver can view resumes; we value your privacy.
